Why is this a "Lost Barrel." Well they didn't know they had any Maple Syrup Barrels left and after some searching and excel sheet checking there was one that wasn't sold and boy oh howdy we found it!
Tasting Notes: Over 1 Year in a Maple Syrup Barrel you expect it to be more overpowering however, I am pleased to see that the mild and tempered weather of Iowa has slowed the reaction to a very well rounded Bourbon forward expression. Oak, Vanilla and Milk Coco are followed by the subtle maple taste you get from the nose. A very well rounded not overdone pour!
